Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TaxPly Financial Technologies Limited processes information for TaxPly, a tax preparation workspace for organizing records, preparing filing-ready documents, requesting expert review, and tracking manual filing records. TaxPly is building data protection controls aligned with Nigerian data protection requirements, including NDPA / NDPR data protection readiness.
TaxPly helps users organize records and prepare filing-ready documents. TaxPly does not submit directly to NRS and does not pay official tax liabilities on behalf of users.
Data We Collect
- Identity and contact data, including name, email, role, account status, and workspace settings.
- Taxpayer profile data, including employment type, residency status, TIN, state of residence, and tax-year settings.
- Tax data and records, including income, expenses, WHT credits, capital gains, small business records, filing readiness, and filing package records.
- Uploaded private documents, including receipts, WHT certificates, official tax payment evidence, support records, and generated filing packages.
- TaxPly access payment records, including manual payment proof, Paystack transaction references, subscription records, and billing history.
- Expert review and consultant workflow records, including assignment status, client authorization, comments, summaries, and agreement acceptance records.
- Support/contact messages, privacy requests, AI-assisted analyzer inputs/outputs where enabled, notifications, and audit/security records.
How We Use Data
- Provide TaxPly account, workspace, document vault, filing preparation, and expert review features.
- Prepare filing-ready documents and track manual filing records.
- Review manual payment evidence and Paystack references for TaxPly platform access.
- Support consultant-client workflows where users authorize or request that work.
- Respond to support, privacy, data export, correction, deletion/deactivation, and complaint requests.
- Maintain security, support, audit, fraud-prevention, billing, and product operations records.
Documents, tax records, and official tax payment evidence
Sensitive tax documents are handled as private data. TaxPly uses private document storage and short-lived signed links or controlled access flows for uploaded documents. Users should only upload documents they are authorized to store and use for tax preparation. Official tax payment evidence may be recorded in TaxPly for preparation and audit trail purposes, but the official payment itself happens outside TaxPly through the relevant official channel.
TaxPly access payments
Manual payment proof and Paystack transaction references, where enabled, are used for TaxPly platform access, subscriptions, filing package access, or expert review access. They are separate from official tax payment records.
Consultants and expert review
Active TaxPly Affiliate Consultants may access assigned expert review records. General consultants may manage client workspaces where the client workflow is authorized. Private admin notes are not intended for users or consultants, and private consultant notes are separated from client-facing summaries where the workflow supports that distinction.
AI-assisted analysis
If enabled, AI-assisted analysis may help summarize or classify records, but users should review outputs before relying on them for filing preparation. AI analysis does not automatically change tax records without user review.
Your rights and privacy requests
Subject to verification and applicable limits, you may request:
- Access
- Correction/rectification
- Objection
- Restriction
- Portability
- Erasure/deletion where applicable
- Complaint/report to the relevant authority
- Protection against solely automated decision-making where applicable
Use the Privacy Requests page or contact taxply@echiiostuu.resend.app. Sensitive exports, correction, deletion, deactivation, restriction, or objection requests may require identity verification. Deletion requests are reviewed because tax records, payment records, invoices/receipts, audit logs, consultant review records, and legal/security records may need retention for legitimate legal, compliance, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.
Retention, processors, and security
TaxPly keeps records while needed to provide the service, support filing preparation, manage billing, protect platform security, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, audit, and regulatory obligations. TaxPly may use service providers such as hosting, database/storage, email, payment, and AI providers where applicable. Final retention periods, processor terms, and legal obligations should be reviewed by a qualified Nigerian data protection/legal professional before broad public launch.
